The Hurricane Board of Directors consists of 16 positions. The Board meets no less than monthly during the off-season and no less than semi-monthly during the season. If you have questions or concerns for the Board, please feel free to contact any of the Board members. The purpose of the Board is to facilitate the operations of the Franchise within the guidelines set forth in the Pecan Grove Hurricanes ByLaws.

Article 5 of the PGH ByLaws reads:

5.1       The Hurricanes shall be governed by the Board of Directors comprised of the Member positions listed in Article 3.5.

5.2              At the end of the regular Football season, nominations shall be accepted in writing for open Board positions.  Requests for nominations will be announced prior to the last regular game of the season.  When more than one nomination is received for any one position, elections shall be held before the final Board meeting of the year for the upcoming year, typically at Banquet. All new Board members should attend the final Board Meeting for the outgoing Board. 

5.3              All elected Board of Directors shall hold office for a term of two (2) complete years and maybe eligible for re-election.  Any Board Member returning for the second year of their term shall have the option to fill any upcoming vacant position with Board approval prior to the announcement of vacancies.  Any Board Member eligible for re-election shall have the discretion of self-nominating for any upcoming vacant position with Board approval prior to the announcement of vacancies.  Returning Board Members shall be announced as Candidates during the announcement of vacancies.

Hurricane Board  At the franchise level, all decisions are made with regards to staffing and recruiting, fundraising, administration, etc for the franchise. The Hurricane Board operates under the direction and rules of all of the organizations described below.

PGH By Law 4.5       Membership meetings are open to all members and any person affiliated with the organization unless otherwise specified. Affiliates must wait until recognized by the President or meeting chairperson before commenting at any meeting. Such opportunity will be given at each membership meeting.

Fort Bend Youth Football League  The Hurricanes are part of the FBYFL and operate under the guidelines and rules set forth by the League. These rules can be found on the League website. Currently 16 teams are franchised through the League. Each franchise President is a member of the FBYFL Board with voting rights. It is through the FBYFL that our conferences, divisions, games schedules, and league standings are decided.

Pecan Grove Athletic Association The Hurricanes are also a part of the Pecan Grove Athlietic Association. At one time there was only one football team in Pecan Grove. But due to the popularity of the sport, two franchises were formed, each operating under the umbrella of PGAA, but with separate Boards. Each franchise President is a member of the PGAA Board with voting rights. It is through the PGAA that we gain shared access to the parks and fields used for practice and home games. PGAA coordinates field maintenance and lighting as well as park and field improvements. The PGAA also provides certain equipment to the football teams.
Park Rules & Regulations

Cheer Board Furthermore, Hurricane cheer conforms to the League standards and practices as defined by the League Cheer Board which operates in association with the FBYFL. Each franchise Cheer Director is a member of the Cheer Board with voting rights.  Cheer Bylaws, Coming Soon
